🥶 Blimey it’s cold
In England, at the moment, we are in the grips of a cold snap. My oldest daughter thought it had been snowing this morning; the frost was so thick. This cold weather, though, brings with it the worry of how we will pay for the heating with use at the moment.Â
It feels like we are back in the dark ages, all huddled around a log fire. We are the lucky ones who hope to afford the gas prices; families less fortunate are freezing and starving to death in England and no, that is not me being dramatic. How did things go so wrong in the world?Â
This prompted my partner and me to start a duvet rally for our local school. We ask people to donate a little money or some warm duvets so that less fortunate families can keep warm this winter. If you want to help, donate to my Ko-fi link below; all the money will go towards buying duvets.Â
Now I realise this email is full of doom and gloom, but I promised myself that it would be honest when I wrote it. So this is me being honest. I hope you can keep warm wherever you are and have a little something extra for the festive season.Â
Until next week stay safe
Sam 😀
