Since the start of the year I have been stressing. What do I offer my paid subscribers? Do I offer enough for the money? So like any good writer I started doing some research to see what other creators offer.
Many of those I follow, are actually writing for free and then selling something extra, that is one approach that interests me. The primary reason I write is because I love it and want people to read my work. Bit hard when everything is behind a paywall. So I have made some changes, that might benefit some or all of you.
For those that don't know I have three newsletters. My first is this one, which I am presuming you all know about.🤣 The changes for The Write Hustle was easy, there are enough people on here trying to sell you writing advice so this is free all of it, all the articles, everything.
Murder Mayhem UK
Free Books
This is my primary newsletter and the one I spend the most time on. For this I am opening up all my articles to everyone. A word of warning though they are going to paywall after a month, so make sure you read them early. As well as a vast catalogue of past articles for you to read as a paid subscriber you will also get a copy of my new book in PDF. I am publishing four this year and you will get every one free.
The Book Chronicles
Help You Sell Your Book
This newsletter has had the biggest change. As a paid subscriber for this you will get advertising for your book. I will also review or beta-read your book whichever you prefer. You can learn more about that in this article.
For those authors I have already signed up for free advertising, I am honouring everyone that has sent me a book.
This feels right, the biggest lesson I have learned in five years of writing is to do what feels right. Nothing is permanent you can always mix it up again later.
If you enjoy this email, please share it so more readers can find it. If you need advice or writing tips, I would love to hear them. Drop them in the comments or email me by hitting reply to this newsletter.
Until next week stay safe
Sam 😊
