π Happy New Year All
Let me start by wishing each of you a Happy New Year. Here is hoping you reach all your goals and have the best year ever.
As a rule, I donβt set New Yearβs resolutions because, on average, they will be broken by the second week. So instead, I set goals. It is a subtle difference, but somehow it works.Β
I divide my goals into three categories - Work, Rest and Play. An idea inspired by Clark Kegley. Check out his YouTube channel if you havenβt.
I only ever set three because this is a manageable amount. It also helps to share your goals with people for extra accountability. So without further to do, here are my goals for 2023.Β
WorkΒ
In a year, I will have 10 more paid subscribers to Murder Mayhem UK.Β If you are thinking of joining there is no better time as I have a 10% discount for life code, click here to redeem it.
By the end of the year, I will have built an author website.Β
By the end of the year, my dystopian novel will be ready for querying.Β
Rest
By the end of the year, I will have read 35 books
I will drink more water every dayΒ
I will reach my Apple Watch exercise goal at least three days a week.Β
Play
To see Guns βnβ Roses in concert
To have planned a big family holiday by the end of the yearΒ
To learn a new skill - bookbinding. I like the sound of it at the moment.Β
So what are your goals for next year? Feel free to use my format if you think it would be helpful. You can download a free template here.Β
Next week, I will go into a little more detail on how I plan to achieve these goals by making lasting habits.
If you enjoy this email, please share it so that more readers can find it.
Until next week stay safe
