The Water Plague is a dystopian novel aimed upwards from young adults. It has also been my baby for the last year, and has now reached the scary moment of allowing some people to read it.
I am looking for beta readers for this book and would be very grateful if you feel you could help me with it. A couple of things to know, it hasn’t been professionally edited, that is next, but I have run it through several packages, so any mistakes should be minimal and not detract from the reading. I would only like my beta readers to concentrate on three things.
1) Are there any glaring plot holes? For example, in early editing, I discovered one of the lead characters ran his hands through his hair when he was handcuffed to a bed.
2) Can you come up with a better title for the book? This is a working title, and I am not sure it suits the completed book.
3) Does the book work, or did you guess the twists early on?
Although I can not pay beta readers, I will send each of you a signed copy when it is finally printed, and I am happy to reciprocate, and beta read for you.
So if you fancy a gritty dystopian, with a love story at its heart where the world has gone to shit and some of the conspiracy theories you have read come to life, please reply to this message, and I will send you a PDF copy of the completed book.
Until next week stay safe
Sam 😊
