🌎 The World’s Most Unproductive Week or Was It?
This week I feel pretty low about my writing, yet when I think about it, I don't know why. It is the lot of a writer that we are harder on ourselves than most. It reminds me of a Stoic quote about being hard on ourselves.Â
This week I have written very few true-crime stories and for the first time since I started, I looked at my list of prospective cases to research and none of them grabbed me.Â
Most people would say this sounds like writer's block, but it can't be because I have written over ten thousand words for the dystopian novel I am working on for NaNoWriMo. I think this is the heart of the problem; my brain has switched to fiction mode.Â
I am sure crime writing will start again, as it is my personal interest and writing topic. However, I need to be patient and finish November.Â
I thought as I wrote this, do those of you taking part in NaNoWriMo work ahead so that you can enjoy Thanksgiving or write during the holiday? Let me know what your technique is.Â
Below you will find the full quote that I mentioned and a list of the books I am reading. So you will see not only has my crime writing suffered this week but so has my reading.Â
However, I can't be too disappointed because this novel I am writing feels right; it could be a hit if only I could find someone in the industry who believes in me.Â
Until next week stay and
