This week, I have hit a bit of a health problem. Nothing too serious, I hope, but it seems to have consumed much of my time. If I am not in pain, then I am wondering when I will get a resolution to the problem.
Which has made me think about time and how much we all squander. With only so much energy, much of it being taken to deal with everyday life in pain, I have run out when it comes to writing. This week, I have not published my five articles for the first time in a long time.
Seneca said, 'People are frugal in guarding their personal property; but as soon as it comes to squandering time they are most wasteful of the one thing in which it is right to be stingy.'
The most important thing we have is time; many of us do not have as much time as we wish. There is little point in me squandering time with my children to write. Many of us fill our lives with pointless activities when we could spend time doing something else we love.
My challenge for you this week is to log what you do every minute of the day. This can be for a week or a few days, whichever you find easier. Then, make a list of activities you love. Look at your time blocking and see what you can cut out. Replace it with an activity you love. Do this every few months, and we might all bring joy back into our lives.
So, I apologise for the short change in writing this week; as soon as possible, I will be back up to full power.

Until next week, stay safe

Weekly Three
Three recommendations to check out to make you a better creative.
James Clear 3-2-1 Newsletter - I have been a subscriber ever since I read atomic habits. This newsletter is well worth the space it takes up in your inbox as it offers a short compact email that makes you think. It is a really quick read but has inspired a few articles.
Slow Horses - As I have been feeling under the weather I have been watching more television than normal. Slow Horses on Apple + is well worth checking out. Originally a book by Mick Heron it tells the story of MI5 agents who have been disgraced and sent to Slough House almost a sin bin for agents. There is a brilliant cast but for me Gary Oldman steals the show with his wit and sarcasm.
Procreate - Every image I make for my articles is created on Procreate. Although the application is sold as one for artists you can also use it to produce social media thumbnails, images and much more. I personally find it much more versatile than Canva.
Quote of the week
Some people teach their friends to betray them by their very fear of betrayal: by being suspicious, they give the other person the right to transgress. - Seneca
