📚 Why I Invest in Myself and Read
There is not better hobby for expanding your mind and experiences.
Books are an investment in ourselves, whether a well-crafted novel or a non-fiction masterpiece. They are a unique hidden well to expansive knowledge. They hold the secrets those in power don't want us to learn.
If you have a problem, someone has had it before. They have probably written about it, and you can learn from someone who has been there. Imagine reading an account of being locked up with the Spanish plague when we were locked up during COVID-19.
Read what you disagree with as much as what you do, and then you can say you have read all aspects of a topic and come to your own decision.
There are ways you can ensure that you can supercharge your reading, and that is to set a dedicated time to do it. This has to be a time that works for you. I know readers who swear by reading in the morning. For me, I am an evening reader when everything is done.
Rereading is also something I enjoy; some people think this is stupid as there are so many books to read, so why read some twice? To those, I say you never step in the same river twice. When I first read To Kill a Mockingbird, it was a completely different experience from the second and third times, .
The world is a scary place. By reading, it becomes a little less scary.

Weekly Three
Three recommendations to check out to make you a better creative.
Friday Twist - This year I have committed to writing a short story every week. I am sharing those stories in my newest newsletter, Friday Twist.
Grammarly - Is a website that I use virtually every day. Although some of the suggestions are strange and not all should be used it has spared my blushes on more than one occasion.
Pixlr - Found this site this week and it is a really easy AI image creator.
