🧠Calming the Brain ðŸ§
This week saw me finish my challenge to meditate for 30 days. Did I do it? To a degree I did, I missed some days but the majority I completed. It went far better than I thought it would and I enjoyed the process far more than I thought I would. Overall I would say the month was a huge success.
Meditation is certainly something I will continue with. On some days, I even found myself craving it. Although I will not commit to it every day, it is certainly something I need to keep in my life.Â
That lead me to the difficult decision of what I would make this month's challenge. Here was the shortlist:
* 30 days without sugar
* 30 days without social media
* Working for 30 days on my novelÂ
* Working for 30 days on my Broadmoor book
* 30 days spend free
After much consideration, the winner was a combination of three. I am working on my novel and Broadmoor book for thirty days, and to help me do this, I am cutting back on social media.Â
If you want to keep up to date on my progress and get a sneak preview of the first chapter of my new Dystopian novel, pop over to Ko-fi, the home of my fiction work and random musings. If you are interested in sneak previews of some of the content of my Broadmoor book, I will send this to my paid subscribers on Murder Mayhem UK.
I really thought about quitting it, but I am a coward I need more time to prepare. However, it is a challenge I am determined to do next year.Â
Which is where you can all help. This started out as something fun to do for a month and has escalated into an aspect of personal development I love. Pushing yourself every month.Â
Next year, I plan on having a year of 30-day challenges and I want you to help me. Suggest some 30-day challenges you would like to see me undertake and report back on.Â
I can’t wait to read your replies.Â
Until next week, stay safe and keep productive.
