This week marks the release of my third true crime book, this year. Deadly and Feminine was one of my favourite books to write, it looks at deadly females and how crimes women commit are often spoken about in a very different tone to those of their male counterparts.
Women who kill are often described as emotional or suffering from mental health issues, whereas the truth is women can be as deadly as men; the media just presents the information very differently.
If you would like to grab yourself a copy of Deadly and Feminine, then head to Murder Mayhem UK and become a paid subscriber, where you can download the book for free as well as all the other true crime books I have written.
Social Media Ban
I touched on this last week when I announced that this newsletter would now be coming to you every Saturday. I have chosen for my family and my mental health to have a complete break from social media every Sunday.
Instead, I am going to spend time with my family and read books.
Last week was very productive, as I read the entire Katie Hopkins book, Batshit Bonkers Britain, which had me laughing out loud in places and left me wondering about the world we live in. I would highly recommend it if you enjoy an honest yet amusing look at what Britain has become.
What are you reading this weekend, tell me in the comments?
Remember, read to learn. Read to escape. Read to smile.
Sam 😊
This should tell us all we need to know about these platforms: they are toxic and dehumanizing. They are responsible, as much as any other force, for the unravelling of civil society that seems to be accelerating. - Cal Newport talking about social media.
