Let’s talk about something that takes two minutes, costs nothing, and means everything to an indie author: reviews.
You’ve no idea how far a handful of words on Amazon, Goodreads, or even a cheeky little social post can go. Indie authors don’t have marketing teams. We don’t have billboard campaigns or six-figure budgets. What we do have is readers. And when readers speak, others listen.
So if you’ve read a book recently by someone who isn’t backed by Penguin or Harper Collins, do them a favour. Tell people. Shout it from the rooftops. Or just, you know, click and type, “I liked it.” That’s enough. It’s that simple.
And to prove how much it means, I’m offering 10 free digital copies of The Water Plague in exchange for an honest review. That’s it. Read it, review it.
Every reviewer will also be entered into a draw to win:
A signed paperback copy
Some book-themed goodies
And a £20 gift voucher (to buy more books with)
Want in? Hit reply or drop a comment, and I’ll send over a copy. If you are not lucky enough to be one of the first ten, The Water Plague is also free on Kindle Unlimited.
Remember: read to learn. Read to escape. Read to smile.

Better to praise and share than blame and ban. Review the book, not the reputation. — John Updike
