Using Content From Other Sites
How you can streamline your work for times when you need not to write.
A couple of weeks ago, I spoke about the advantages of being consistent when publishing.Â
One of the techniques I suggested you use was repurposing older content or content from other platforms.Â
This week, I can show how important this is. As a mother of three, I know the summer holidays are fast approaching. Anyone who has children will know what a busy time this is. I planned to try to write during the holidays, but then I closed my Medium account. I discovered many articles that hadn’t been published on my Substack.Â
These articles will need some polishing, but most of the word count is done. These will be my content for August, and it's all scheduled, so I don’t need to worry.Â
This is also a brilliant time to subscribe to my Murder Mayhem UK newsletter because I will make all the content accessible. I don’t feel right charging for articles that appear free elsewhere.
It isn’t just holidays that this idea can provide content for; it can also be sickness or times when you can’t write.Â
If you have articles on any platforms, Medium, Vocal, or even Newsbreak, you could lose out on content your readers on Substack would enjoy.
If you enjoy this email, please share it so more readers can find it.
Until next week stay safe
Sam 😊
