Thanks for sharing this! I didn’t realize it, but I’ve been keeping a ziboldone for years. I never understood why other people were so caught up with bullet journaling, etc., and stressed over organizing this stuff. I organize notes, emails, photos, computer files, my grocery lists, and the rest of my life. I don’t organize my hodgepodge of thoughts, weird things heard or read online, or brain sludge of memories, feelings, possible things to add to the grocery list , and random weird observations about life. I see no need for that!

It breaks my heart to see what has become of our village through all these years of war...

Thank you for the clarity! No wonder I always thought I was using my supposed commonplace notebook wrong. I’ve really been using a zibaldone!

I had exactly the same realisation. I have however now mastered the commonplace book - I think 🤣

Commonplace books.... have never heard of that before and this is my first time and it feels so Renaissance and so historical but very interesting and I’m a big fan of both words

Thank you so much for this my friend.

I got something to reckon over now. You're the best

I have three messy but organised notebooks on the go, if that makes sense! Good ideas and thoughts are worth jotting down as they are easy to forget otherwise.
